• Faster start-up. The licence check now runs in the background, so the app opens straight away instead of waiting on it. A previously-activated licence lets you in immediately and is re-checked behind the scenes; only a missing or rejected licence falls back to the activation screen, and the offline grace period is honoured as before.
• Insert the current date/time. Right-click a date or time field in the Field Editor to drop in "now": choose date & time, date only, or time only, formatted correctly for HL7.

Open huge, document-heavy files without running out of memory.

• Disk-backed embedded documents. Large HL7 files where messages carry embedded documents (base64 PDFs, CDAs, scanned images) now stream those documents from disk instead of holding them all in memory, so multi-gigabyte files open where they previously ran out of memory. Documents are streamed back in full whenever a message is sent or saved.
• New setting. "Stream large embedded documents from disk" (Settings → Editor) lets you turn this on for document-heavy work at any file size; very large files use it automatically.
• Smoother loading. The message count now updates steadily while a very large file loads, instead of appearing to freeze between jumps.

• Licence fix. Activating a new or updated licence (for example changing the email address or seat count) now saves correctly.
• Clearer large-file warning when opening a file big enough to strain memory, with an explicit "Open Anyway" choice.

• Right-click "Expand all segments" in Field Editor, Parsed View, and Statistics.
• Timeline: "Send all in order". Re-send every message for a patient in the order they were originally sent.
• Statistics follows the cursor when you click fields in the Raw view while in split screen.
• "Send Current" moved next to "Test Connection" in the connection panel, where it's easier to reach.
• Independent separator colours. Set the pipe character colour and its highlight colour separately.
• Better handling of very large files (higher memory ceiling and a pre-load size warning), plus tidier panel and scrollbar spacing.

• No default row limit on Query. Results are unlimited by default; add an explicit LIMIT when you want one, with a gentle reminder once a result passes 100,000 rows.
• Tabs remember where you were. Statistics, Fields, Parsed, Timeline, and Compare keep their state when you switch between them.
• Custom validation rules now take precedence over the built-in check for the same field.

• Query expands repeating segments (OBX, NTE, and the like) into one row per occurrence.
• Query stability and performance improvements on large message sets.

• Open from .zip. Load HL7 messages straight from a zip archive without extracting it first.
